Swimming Club in September
The Sundays sessions will start back on 8th September – Masters 8.30 – 9.30am, Teaching groups 9.30 – 10.00am and County Squad 10.00 – 11.15am.
Please remember there are no changes to the rest of the times and squads during the week or any increase in monthly fees until the 30 September 2024.
We are looking for new members from Stage 5, Competitive swimmers and Master swimmers
If your child has achieved Stage 5 or above and are thinking what to do next – why not come for a free session to see whether a Swimming Club is for you.
Sessions are available for Stage 5 – Stage 8 on Mondays 6.00 – 6.40pm and Friday 6.00 – 6.30pm.
There are places available for stronger swimmers within our squads where they have the opportunity to compete and also we have a dedicated Masters section for over 18’s

Gloucester Sprint Meet Sunday 29 September
All our entries have been accepted for this Meet at GL1 in Gloucester, the Meet will start at 9.00am and swimmers must be on poolside and signed in by 8.45am to be able to swim. We will issue more information nearer the day.
We have also entered relays but the teams may be subject to change :

English Channel Challenge finishing 30 August
The 2024 Challenge. During this year all our swimmers have been attempting to swim the equivalent of The English Channel from Dover to Calais (21 miles or 1351 lengths of our pool) – some of them numerous times
We have added up the lengths they swim each training session and the total of these distances are posted regularly on our notice board.
This Challenge will finish on 30th August and certificates will be awarded soon after. So this is the final push to achieve your personal goals on this Challenge. Good luck everyone.
Bike Ride and BBQ at Beechenhurst
We have arranged the Bike Ride and BBQ at Beechenhurst for all swimmers and their families to be on Saturday 21 September – information has gone out to all members so please sign up as soon as possible and we look forward to a great family day out
Gloucester City Open Meet 6 & 7 July 2024 (updated 13 July)
Well done everyone at the Gloucester City Open Meet the swimmers, poolside staff and officials.
We had great results throughout the weekend, 45 personal best times and 9 new times achieved by the swimmers. It was a weekend of sisterly gains, in the 400m IM Ella took gold and Grace silver, in the 100m Backstroke both Beatrice and Harriet achieved silver medals and in the 200m Butterfly Molly took the gold and Libby a bronze.

Phoebe qualified for Swim England National Championships 2024
We are all proud of Phoebe who has qualified for the Swim England National Championships to be held in Ponds Forge International Swimming Pool in Sheffield in August – Congratulations Phoebe
Gloucester Masters May Meet
Congratulations to Charlotte competing in her first Masters Meet and achieving a gold and silver medal for her 400m and 200m freestyle. All your team mates are very proud of you.
TSC/BSC/DDSC/CDSC Competition on 23 June
What a great Open Meet for all our swimmers with Tewkesbury, Brockworth & Dursley Swimming Clubs on Sunday 23 June at Leisure@Cheltenham.
We had over 77 improved times, 8 new times and plenty of happy faces from the swimmers and families at this event. Well done to Jessi, Lola and George R who were competing in their first Open Meet.
3 gold medals were won by Chase and 2 by 8 year old George R who swam in the 10 year and under category. Silver medals were won by Daisy (2), Flora, Imy, George W, Millie and Chase and bronze medals by Thomas R (3), Daisy (3), Josh (2), Jade, Flora and Chase.
All the swimmers showed great ability and all were a credit to the Club – well done everyone. Also thank you to all our poolside staff, officials and helpers who many the event possible.
Gloucester City Swimming Club Spring Open Meet March 2024
Incredible swimming by all 35 of our swimmers in the Open Meet at GL1. We had some younger swimmers taking part in their first competition at this Level including Connie, Tiajauana, Betsie, Jack, Connie, Kita, Bethany, Beatrice, Ada, Megan and Alex and we hope they enjoyed the experience.
The team amassed a large amount of medals, 9 x Golds, 18 x Silver and 14 x Bronze for Nia, Chase, Lilly-Ann, Penelope, Morgan, Imy, Flora, Libby, Molly, Lottie W, Kita, Harry, Beatrice, Thomas R, Florence and Bethany.
Well done and PB’s also went to Katy, LIly F, Freya, Ella, Grace W, Grace P, Daisy, Amelia, Jasmine, Lucy, Thomas H, Harry and Josh.
A very enjoyable Meet for all the swimmers, well done everyone.
The Club Captain for 2024 is Daisy
Daisy Stuart-Gunter is the Club Captain for 2024. She has been a member of our Swimming Club for nearly 10 years having joined the Teaching group in 2014 with Stage 5 and is now one of our top County swimmers. She can be seen helping on poolside on Mondays and at most competitions either as a competitor or helping the poolside team and supporting the swimmers.
